“ Olleh Convoy Korean BBQ is a top choice for korean barbecue fans, earning its reputation as one of the best spots in the Convoy area. The menu boasts a great variety of meats and sides, with pricing options to suit different appetites. You can choose between the premium menu at $33.99 or the prime menu at $44.99, which offers even more options. We visited on Valentine's Day, and the wait time was surprisingly reasonable, although the place did get busier as the night went on. Our server, Ryan C, stood out with his top-notch service! Super attentive, always smiling, and swift in clearing plates, which made the whole experience smoother. One thing to note is that there's a limit on certain meats, and the portions are somewhat smaller, but this just means you can try more of everything. If you're with a big group, consider doubling up on meat orders, or go for half orders if you want to sample a variety without overdoing it. The vibe at Olleh is fantastic, with great music setting the scene and sports games playing on the screens, adding to the lively atmosphere. The staff here are friendly and make you feel right at home. Plus, their extensive drink menu, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, complements the dining experience. If you're in the mood for quality Korean BBQ in a fun and energetic setting, Olleh Convoy Korean BBQ should be at the top of your list. Whether you're there for a special occasion or just a casual night out, you're in for a great time. ”
“ Still one of my top favorite Korean bbq spots! In convoy there are plenty of different options for kbbq, but my husband and I keep on coming back to olleh for their many side dish options! We typically get the regular (non-upgraded) menu and feel that it offers most of the meat options we like. Weekends typically get crowded esp during normal dinner times and parking can be tough despite having a relatively big parking lot for the plaza. I also just learned that first 120 min are free for the lot if you dine at the restaurants but after, you do need to pay for parking. Weeknights tend to be more manageable for parking and wait times. However once seated service is pretty quick and servers are very attentive. The restaurant does have space for larger parties towards the back but most tables are 4-6 person booth tables. ”
“ We were seated immediately even if they were busy. The food and service were great. I recommend this place and will go back ”
“ This is a good spot for Korean BBQ. It is all you can eat with a two hour limit. I felt the service was friendly and fast. The meat was fresh. For our meat options we ordered beef brisket, steak, bulgogi, and teriyaki beef. We also enjoyed the steamed egg, radish, veggies, green onion salad, fried rice, and sesame balls. They were not busy when my girlfriends and I got there at 5:30pm on a Friday but it got much busier over time. We enjoyed our dinner. ”
“ Olleh Convoy Korean BBQ is the kind of place where you go in hungry and leave a grilled meat enthusiast. You get to cook your own food, so it's like being your own chef, but with more delicious results. The meats are top-notch, the sides are endless, and the egg soup? Absolutely addictive. Pro tip: Bring your stretchy pants and prepare to overeat, because once you start, you won't stop until you're rolling out the door. ”
“ Bomb KBBQ. Staff was nice. The parking lot is tough, so put your name in then look for parking bc there is always a wait regardless. The bonchon (side) are my favorite here. AYCE is the way to go. I'd suggest coming here midweek or earlier so you can get served faster. ”
“ I've been to many KBBQ joints and this is up there. Their kimchi fried rice was 10/10. Cuts of meat are excellent. Service is quick and kind. Ambiance is a lil nicer than a typical Korean bbq joint. Will be back! ”
“ I was pleasantly surprised by my recent visit to Olleh! The quality of the meats was excellent, the service outstanding, and my friend and I had an experience that rivals, if not tops, other Korean BBQ spots in San Diego. The Food: The meats were of high quality, with the beef brisket, marinated galbi, and beef teriyaki standing out. I'm usually hesitant to order sweeter meats, but the beef teriyaki was a pleasant surprise. None of the meats came out frozen, and the marbling, taste, and overall quality were impressive, especially for the price ($90 for two, including a 22% gratuity). Initially, the banchan was underwhelming, with just a few pieces of edamame (literally 4 lmao), macaroni salad, and fishcake. However, as we began ordering more sides, the banchan greatly improved. The japchae, which we ordered four times, was a standout--I've never had japchae with so much pepper, but it was amazing! The kimchi was good, the sundubu hit the spot, and all the other sides were equally enjoyable. The food was truly elevated by the excellent service. The Service: We were seated quickly, despite a long waitlist, and greeted by a friendly host. Once seated, a server promptly got us started, and we had constant attention from the staff throughout the meal. There wasn't a single moment where we had to flag someone down. The all-male serving staff (at least on that Monday night) was great--meats were served efficiently, grills were regularly changed, sides were replenished, and drinks were refilled without us needing to ask. The service was top-notch. The ambiance: Nothing was too standout. The music is loud and EDM heavy, but it's Convoy so this is the standard (whoever had aux though did a good job lmao). The Parking: Parking in their lot is a hellish nightmare. Skip it and park by the KFC in the nearby residential area--it's only a 2-3 minute walk and will save you a headache. The Price: We ordered from the standard menu, which cost us $90 after gratuity. For the quality of food and the high level of service we received, it was an absolute value. I usually expect mediocre service and average meats at this price point, but Olleh proved me wrong. Overall: Affordable, delicious, and paired with excellent service--what more could you ask for from a Korean BBQ spot? Rating: 4.75/5, rounded up to 5. ”
“ I recently visited this Korean BBQ spot and, let me tell you, the food was on point. The quality of the meats was excellent--tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly on the grill. The side dishes were plentiful and delicious, and I loved the variety of dipping sauces. If you're looking for authentic, tasty Korean BBQ, this place definitely delivers. However, the atmosphere could use some work. The restaurant was incredibly smoky, which made it a bit uncomfortable to sit through an entire meal. I get that smoke comes with the territory at a BBQ spot, but better ventilation would go a long way. Also, the floors were super slippery, which was a little concerning. It made me worry about safety, especially if you're there with kids or older folks. On the plus side, the service was fairly good. The staff was attentive and quick to help with the grill, refill side dishes, and make sure we had everything we needed. They were friendly without being overbearing, which I appreciated. All in all, I'd say this place is worth a visit for the food, but be prepared for a less-than-ideal atmosphere. Hopefully, they can make a few tweaks to improve the dining experience because the food really is great. ”
“ Olleh is my group of friends choice AYCE KBBQ spot to go to in SD. Good selection of meats and kitchen (side) items. Their hot tofu soup is my absolute favorite. Love that there are sesame balls available as well. The japchae would be the only thing I say I wish had more flavor. Staff is always so friendly and attentive here. ”
